Why did you become a diver?
My wife and I got married in Cancun and decided we wanted to try Scuba Diving as something a couple could do for a fun wedding and something a young couple could do on vacations! Fast forward a decade and our son too wants to follow our footsteps and dive so it has grown into a family fun event!

What made you want to teach diving?
Always love seeing the ah ha moments when those that couldn’t get past something learn how to adapt and overcome. It happens a lot with diving too, plus its a great way to spend a weekend here or there and it’s scuba diving.. SOOO much fun!
What is your favorite part of teaching a scuba class?
Once again those ah ha moments and when someone is having a hard time with a skill or a little bit affraid of something. Working through those and watching them succeed is what makes it all worth it! High Five City!
Where is your favorite place in the world to go dive?
Any blue water! Really, there is nothing better than seeing all things alive.. The M/V Fling by far was my most favorite dive trip to this day.. Looking forward to more trips with the kiddo! Looking forward to open back this chapter in life!
What is your favorite local dive?
Beaver Lake b/c it is so clear!

What is your favorite after Dive meal?
We need more time to talk about this! I love a good shake afterwards… One thing you will find out about me is I love reviewing food places.. Staples in every food place is a thing… Good BBQ, great burgers, steaks, and breakfast.. sign me up.. Let’s talk for real!
Where’s that one place in the world you haven’t been that you would love to go dive?
All the expensive places.. Fiji, French Polynesia, Qgypt, Thailand, Hawaii, Australia just to name a few..
Why do you enjoy teaching with Okiescuba?
First the instructors. They way they teach is the best way to learn. Bite size pieces to overcome slowly and yet quickly master and have a great footing in diving! Second the family, all of the staff here are one big family! Lastly you.. Yup, everyone one that comes thru OkieScuba is just another extension of the family.
