Why did you become a diver?
I love adventure and exploring.  Nothing is more adventurous than strapping a life support system to your body and jumping in the ocean for a little exploration!!

When did you become a diver?
I was first certified on Aug. 14, 2005 but didn’t start diving regularly until 2018.

When did you become a professional diver?
I earned my Divemaster certification on July 7, 2022.

What made you want to teach diving?
I enjoy sharing my passion for diving with others.  

What is your favorite part of teaching a scuba class?
I love watching divers breathe under water for the first time, but, the most rewarding part is helping them overcome a fear or skill they are having difficulty with.  Gary’s jokes are a close second!!

Where is your favorite place in the world to go dive?
Anywhere in the Caribbean!  Cozumel, Roatan, Grand Cayman, Belize, Turks and Caicos…love them all!

What is your favorite local dive?
The Dive Park at Tenkiller when we take new divers to the bus!

What is your favorite after Dive meal?
Mexican food!

Where’s that one last place in the world you haven’t been that you would love to go dive?
Truk Lagoon in Micronesia.  I love wreck diving, especially when it has historical significance!

Why do you enjoy teaching with  Okiescuba ?
Okiescuba cares about one thing and that is making you a safe diver.  They do it for no other reason.  As a bonus, I enjoy traveling with, diving with, and learning from the Okiescuba staff.
